Interiors :: Rug Styling with Chairish
A few weeks ago Chairish, the world's first online consignment shop for the design obsessed, reached out to me to see if I'd be interested in styling one of their rugs for an upcoming post. We're in the process of looking at houses so it was a no-brainer for me! It was hard to pick a favorite rug, but when I came across this gorgeous distressed oushak rug I was absolutely smitten. I love the classic patina and the muted color palette. Pair it with refined neutrals, distressed leather, and antique art for an elegant and cozy space.

Travel :: The Charleston Food Scene
A month and a half later, I'm finally wrapping up my posts from Charleston. And of course I saved the best for last -- the FOOD! Asides from it's seaside location, historic architecture, and overflowing charm, one of the main reasons we chose to go to Charleston for a girl's weekend was it's booming restaurant scene. As soon as we booked our hotel we got straight to business on picking restaurants {just one of the many reasons Brooke is my best friend}, and to be honest it was nearly impossible to decide! Read on for my favorite spots...

This past weekend Ryan and I went to a Thanksgiving cooking class at Williams Sonoma, and being there seemed to increase my excitement for the holidays tenfold. While we still go home for Thanksgiving, I look forward to one day when we host the big meal ourselves. I envision a tablescape balanced with formal and casual, gilded and natural. What about you? Is your dream Thanksgiving table more traditional? Or do you like things a little more eclectic? Regardless, I'm definitely going to be recreating the asiago truffle mashed potatoes we made in our class...they were pure heaven!

Recipe :: Roasted Pear and Brie Tartine
Well hello strangers! My first week on the job was fabulous and I'm excited to see what this next week brings me. I'm not going to lie - things have been a little hectic around here, and I haven't had a lot of time to dedicate to cooking. So today I'm going to be sharing with you a recipe I created for Taffeta & Tulips last month for our blog swap.
Thanksgiving is nearly upon us, and this Roasted Pear and Brie Tartine is a festive option for a indulgent lunch or a holiday hors d'oeuvre. You could easily cut the tartine into rectangular slices or serve it on small slices of baguette as a crostini. The combination of sweet and savory, crusty and creamy, rich and light, makes for an absolute treat.

Interiors :: An 18th Century Sag Harbor House Tour
When I came across this home on The Plumed Nest last week I just knew I had to share. The cozy 18th century Sag Harbor home of interior designer Ari Heckman and his partner Ethan Feinstein {which conveniently is next door to Feinstein's parent's home} seems like the perfect place to cuddle up next to a roaring fire and sip hot cocoa. I love the wide planked floors, wood beams, bright and airy palette, and contemporary art collection. For the full home tour you can visit the original article in Lonny.

Today is the Day!
Today is the day! I'm starting a new job and couldn't be more excited. Things may be a little quiet on Dreams in HD this week as I'm traveling for work and I'm sure will have an adjustment period as I settle into my new role, but I am so looking forward to see where the next year takes me. Wish me luck!!

Art :: Overgrowth
Overgrowth is an ongoing artistic collaboration between photographer Parker Fitzgerald and floral designer Riley Messina. Aren't the anonymous portraits just beautiful? They remind me of Kari Herer's work, one of my favorite Etsy artists. Have a wonderful weekend friends!

Interiors :: A Dream Farmhouse Tour
Oh. my. gosh. I need to prepare you for this one. This Oklahoma farmhouse is overflowing with warmth, charm, pops of color, and rustic elegance. I love the gorgeous views, the sprawling porches, the whitewashed walls, the outdoor spaces, and the stunning kitchen. But my favorite part of the house? The two adorable reading nooks! For more photos read the full article on Style Me Pretty Living.

Travel :: Charleston, SC
Our trip last month to Charleston was clearly quite memorable - I can't seem to stop posting pictures from it! Here are some snaps I took during our girls getaway including shops on King's Street, the Harbor, a gorgeous church, a couple beautiful cemeteries, and of course...more of the stunning architecture. Enjoy!

The beginning of November kicks off the official start of my holiday season. While it may be a little early to listen to Christmas music {guilty!} it's most certainly not too soon to break out some holiday sparkle. Because the next two months are filled with dinners, concerts, and parties I've pulled together some of my favorite little goodies I'd love to help me ring in this holiday season. What about you? Are you already overflowing with holiday spirit? Or are you trying to savor the last days of autumn? I'm somewhere in between the two :)

Recipe :: Weeknight Coq Au Vin
Last week I had a couple of girlfriends over for a Parisian evening. We ate French cheese, drank French wine, listened to French music, talked about France, and ate French food. My friend brought over the most delicious Potato Dauphinoise for our side, and for our main dish I decided to take a stab at making Coq Au Vin. It paired perfectly with the potatoes and I served it with some big homemade croutons to soak up all the delicious wine sauce. The traditional Coq Au Vin uses mostly chicken legs and thighs, but since I prefer white meat and had a few organic chicken breasts in the fridge I used those instead. I will admit, that it turned out to be so delicious I didn't even have time to photograph it!
