Interiors :: Bedroom Inspiration

When we first moved into our new place last June I was 100% gung ho on completely decorating the house from head to toe.  However, after a couple months of major buying and DIY'ing {we needed a lot}, I put the breaks on our decorating process.  Partially because I got a little burnt out, but mostly because quite frankly we could not afford to completely furnish a house in six months {especially given the fact that it is a rental and we don't know how long we will stay in the house or Indianapolis}.  But lately, that decorating bug has bit me again {thanks, in part, to Pinterest} and I have been daydreaming about putting the final touches on our bedroom.  Here are some looks that have particularly inspired me...

  6. Photos 2, 3, and 4 are my favorites. I love how the sunlight peeks into bedroom number four, it makes it more cheerful and light. These are some great picks!!

  10. I always hit a wall when decorating a new place as well. In fact, the house I've lived in for about 3 years now, still has no art up on the walls! It's very sad. We know what we want to hang, but they're just sitting there on the floor waiting for frames. Have fun with finishing up the bedroom! xo

  11. i totally feel you. we painted our bedroom and living room when we first moved in and haven't painted anything since. same goes to DIY'ing furniture and generally any major improvements. we finally hung our gallery wall a few months ago so i guess that's something :)

  12. thanks girl, that is the one i chose as bedroom inspiration...we ended up painting the walls the same color {pantone's aqua mist} and i love the way it turned out. while i love dark walls / wallpaper since we are in a rental i didn't think our landlord would be too pleased with a black room :)

  17. i love that one too. since we are in a rental i probably won't be able to go dark, but when we finally buy a place i will definitely be doing at least a dark statement wall. i can't decide if i would do a textured wallpaper or chalkboard paint, but i think i have a while to choose :)
