Well hello there! We made it back from Florida yesterday and I am trying to get back in the swing of things...aren't those first few days after vacation always the hardest? Meanwhile, I have been absolutely swooning over the gorgeous 1868 Victorian home of Annie Brahler. Located in Jacksonville, Illinois, Annie's home is overflowing with gilt mirrors, antique furniture, stunning chandeliers, and beautiful architecture. However, the neutral palette makes sure that the home feels lived-in and never stuffy. Oh, and did I mention the closet?!

Every room is beautiful! So chic and elegant, you have excellent style :) I've just moved house into a property that my mums been renovating so I've shown her these and she's using some for inspiration :)

I think I just died and went to heaven! What a gorgeous inspiring space! I can't even imagine what it's like to be surrounded by such beauty every day. You always find the most exquisite homes to inspire us Molly!
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean about having a hard time getting back to the routine after a vacation. We got back a few days ago, but I'm still resisting getting back to blogging. I still haven't checked my email, looked through the pictures I took, or read most of the blogs I follow. Sometimes it's nice to get away from it all.
Can I say this.... the bathroom is my favorite room! they're all stunning though. Thanks for sharing Molly :)

Oh my gosh, yes, those first few days are unbelievably hard. I'm there right now!! ;) And this home is stunning!! We live in a brand new condo but seeing this kind of character & beauty makes me crave something a little older. I'm currently obsessed with looking at Brownstones in New York for this very reason. Happiest Wednesday, lovey!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous! I think I have just about all of these photos pinned. It's just so glamorous!
ReplyDeleteI'm not huge Victorian fan (I prefer clean lines and minimalist approaches) but I do appreciate a big open dressing room with a dream shelf filled to the brim with shoes!! That "closet" is heavenly.

Oh my goodness, that closet!!! I'm also loving the luxe chandelier in the kitchen.
ReplyDeleteThis home has been a personal favorite. The hall of mirrors is incredibly well done and the kitchen island adds so much character and function. This house is a great example in balance.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous house - love all the rooms and the contrast between the white airy rooms and the darker bedroom and bathroom. The chandelier in the bathroom is AMAZING!

ReplyDeletehope you had a wonderful weekend :)
i know, i have never seen anything like it! i think i have pinned that bathroom about 5 times, and while creating a post on bathrooms stumbled upon the link to the entire house. such a dream!
ReplyDeletethank you meg, i'm so glad you like it!!
ReplyDeletei know, that chandelier is so pretty! i think it actually has real candles. kind of scary to me {i'd constantly worry that one would fall out and catch the house on fire} but soooo stunning.
ReplyDeleteit definitely seems like something i would see on your blog brandyn :) i agree with you, that kitchen island is unbelievable...i have never seen anything like it.
ReplyDeleteI totally have the same fear about real candles. They look amazing, but I'd definitely be paranoid about burning the house down!
