Travel :: The Amalfi Coast

I'm dreaming of a White Christmas, but I am also dreaming about a tropical beach holiday in January to beat the Post-Christmas Blues.  This past summer we took a trip to the Amalfi Coast {in southern Italy} and I'd give anything to be heading back there in a month.  It was seriously one of the most gorgeous places I have ever laid eyes on.  We stayed in the dreamy little cliff-side town of Positano.  Our days were spent swimming and boating in the crystal clear Mediterranean Sea.  Our nights were spent eating fresh homemade pasta {lots of it} and drinking red wine {lots of that as well}.  We took a day trip to the fabled island of Capri which was even more beautiful and luxurious than I had imagined.  Stunning views and colorful flowers were mixed with incredible villas and plenty of Gucci and Dolce & Gabanna.  Plus, I must say the people just could not have been kinder.  It was absolute paradise.  Here are a few photos from our trip!

{The view from a restaurant we dined at nestled high in the cliffs above Positano}
{The insanely gorgeous turquoise water seen while boating to the town of Amalfi}
{The view from our amazing (albeit a bit scary) morning hike along "The Eye of the Gods" trail}
{Capri, plus a lemon that was nearly the size of my head}
