Our last two days in Paris were simply perfect. We started by taking a boat cruise down the River Seine, then went to Angelina for high tea followed by shopping at the Chanel flagship store {thank you for the present Ryan!}. For dinner we dined at the famous brasserie Chez Georges, which was a favorite of Julia Child herself! The next day we woke up to absolutely wonderful weather and decided to take full advantage of it by walking at least 10 miles around central Paris. We started at Place de la Concorde and wandered east along the Seine to the Ile de la Cite then the Ile Saint Louis. We stopped at a fromagerie and boulangerie and picked up three different cheeses, pear compote, and a fresh baguette and had a picnic along the Seine. We had tea at an adorable cafe overlooking Notre Dame, and went to the top of the Institut du Mon Arabe for a gorgeous view of the rooftops. We watched the sun set over Paris, then had a final delicious dinner in Le Marais.
My two weeks in Paris went by so fast, but it was one of the most wonderful, life-changing experiences I have ever had and I will cherish it forever.
Now -- on to Switzerland!!
